Ms. Sabine FRANÇOIS

A graduate of the Metz Regional Institute of Administration, Sabine
François, 46, began her career at the Lorraine General Directorate of
the Environment. After serving as Secretary General of the Moselle
Departmental Directorate of Territories, she joined ADEME in 2011
as Regional Director of ADEME Lorraine, then of ADEME Grand Est.
In these positions, she was responsible for accelerating the
implementation of public policies for the energy transition and circular
economy.
In 2019, she joined the Grand Est Region as Environment Director.
She was responsible for developing and managing policies for water,
biodiversity, energy, mobility and the circular economy.
Since the end of 2021, Sabine François has held the position of
Deputy Director General in charge of transitions for the Grand Est
Region. In this position, she adds the themes of health, digital
technology and planning to her expertise. Her ambition was to steer
the Region's policies along a path to contain global warming, while
developing the region's capacity to adapt to climate change. She has
made a significant contribution to the very high quality of relations
between ADEME and the Grand Est Region, particularly through the
original Climaxion program and the implementation of the possibilities
for delegating the heat fund opened up by the recent 3DS law. She
has currently been Deputy Managing Director of ADEME since May
2023.
